Frequently Asked Questions
How old should I be to attend the tattoo workshop?
Participants must be at least 15 years old with written parental consent. Those under 18 are restricted from tattooing human skin, but can still train on synthetic “practice” skin.
Is there an opportunity to work in the studio after completing?
Exceptional and committed students may have the opportunity to work at one of Viaticum Gallery’s businesses after the workshop.
Do I have to buy my own tattoo equipment?
Viaticum Gallery will provide all necessary equipment during the tattoo workshop. After the workshop, the equipment must be returned in its original condition.
How long does the workshop last?
The worshop lasts approximately 20 to 25 hours.
How much does the workshop cost?
The workshop fee is 30,000 NOK.
Will I be part of a group during the workshop?
Workshop’s are conducted on a one-on-one basis to ensure that each student receives personal attention from the instructor.
Will I receive a certificate after completing the workshop?
Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will receive a diploma confirming their achievement at Viaticum Gallery. In addition, a tattoo instructor will be available to follow up with you after the workshop and address any questions or concerns you may have.
Is drawing experience necessary to become a tattoo artist?
While drawing experience can accelerate progress, it is not a prerequisite. Many successful students have excelled in the tattoo industry without prior art training, relying on dedication and passion.
3-day Intensive Tattoo Workshop Plan
Day 2: 12:00 to 18:00 – Practical exercise with artificial skin and advanced technique
Day 3: 12:00 PM to end of session – Live Demonstration: Application of seminar techniques in a real tattoo session, including design, stenciling, material selection, machine operation, advanced techniques, color theory application, videography, photography, editing, and social media.
